Article Summary

To get access to our Combeenation platform, you should have received an invitation email from us. This email includes a link that leads you to the platform. You can now register with your email address and a password of your choice. After successfully logging into your account, you should see the dashboard of our platform.

Platform structure

On the left, there is a list of all companies you are assigned to. If there is only one company you have access to, the company menu will be collapsed by default. By clicking on your company or pressing CTRL + K you can expand this menu and search/visit another companies.

In the Dashboard, you see the configurators which exist for the selected company. If there is at least one configurator in this company, it will be selected by default. By selecting a configurator, you get to see the configuration metrics, which represent the statistics of the configurations of a configurator.

Companies & co(nfigurators)

In order to start creating configurator experiences on Combeenation platform, a company is required. At of the time of writing, companies will be created per request (contact us).

A company can have multiple users and each user has a defined role in the company. Each role provides a different set of permissions, for more info see User Permissions. Users can get access to a company by receiving an invitation via email. By default, and without further invitations, a platform user does not have access to any company. The user role besides other topics (API tokens, integrations, invoice address, ...) can be configured inside the company settings (lower left sidebar).

Configurators, the heart of the platform, exist on a company level. A configurator is either published, not published or marked for deletion. Published configurators can be embedded on your system (see Embedding & Whitelist).
Each configurator can have up to 10 drafts, can be found on the drafts page. For more information on who to create and edit a configurator see Creating a configurator.

In the drafts page, you see all drafts for the selected configurator, where you can edit or preview your configurator. The embedding section shows information about how your configurator can be embedded in your own page. In addition, there are several configurator related settings e.g. whitelist domains, sending domains.

Each configurator requires assets like image, data, 3D models, textures, materials, ...
Those assets can be managed inside the asset editor (found on the lower left sidebar).

Before uploading an asset, an asset bundle needs to be created. This asset bundle is versioned, and each version can be assigned to a configurator.
Inside an asset bundle, the assets can be grouped together in folders (folders can't be nested).
For more information, see Getting started with assets.

With workflows it is possible to import data in a customizable way into the Combeenation platform.

It allows the platform user to build configurators in a more data-oriented way and update the data on a regular basis.

Workflows are written in JavaScript and the Combeenation system provides a set of JavaScript functions which allow the interaction with assets. For more information see Workflow basics

Within this menu, you can configure your company settings and manage/invite users.

Export (coming soon)

In this menu, you have the possibility to copy configurators and asset bundles to other companies.
